Elisapie
Elisapie, the celebrated Inuk singer-songwriter from Salluit, Nunavik, weaves her deep connection to her homeland and the Inuktitut language into her music. Since winning her first Juno in 2005 with Taima, she’s earned widespread acclaim. Her fourth album, Inuktitut, reimagines classic rock and pop songs in her native language, each tied to a personal memory. The album achieved a Polaris Prize nomination and a Juno for Contemporary Indigenous Artist of the Year. With over 70 performances across Canada, the U.S., and Europe, Elisapie blends modern sounds with tradition, collaborating with Montreal’s indie scene to share her culture globally.
