Get ready for a spectacular celebration at AppleFest presented by Don Valley North Toyota!
Join us for our 40th celebration on Saturday September 27th from 10 AM to 5 PM as we transform the Museum’s 25-acre site into a vibrant festival filled with fresh apple cider, family-friendly activities, local businesses, talented artisans, and all things apples.
AppleFest presented by Don Valley North Toyota is your destination for an unforgettable experience featuring:
🎪 Interactive Exhibitions & Live Demonstrations: Experience history in action and step into the past with live demos and hands-on activities like apple schnitzing.
🍔 Delicious Eats: Enjoy a diverse array of mouth-watering food and beverage favourites in our Brews ’n Bites section.
🎤 Live Entertainment: Experience a vibrant lineup of live entertainment throughout the duration of the event.
🚂 Family Fun: Hop on our scenic Don Valley North Trolley trackless train, presented by Don Valley North Toyota. Bounce around in the Inflatable and Games Area, play mini-golf, get your face painted for free thanks to GIP and hop in the GIP Sandbox.. NEW to AppleFest - Pottery Workshops!
Join us for a unique hands-on experience where you’ll create your very own apple-themed pottery piece under the guidance of a professional potter. Our pre-registered workshops includes 500g of clay, firing, and access to a variety of glazes and underglazes—everything you need to bring your creation to life.

Session 1: 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Session 2: 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Session 3: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

- Where is the event located?
The event will take place at Markham Museum, located at 9350 Markham Road on Saturday September 27th, 2025 from 10 AM to 5 PM.
- What happens if there is inclement weather?
AppleFest will happen rain or shine! Follow @markhammuseum on Facebook and Instagram for news on cancellations and weather updates.
- How to the pottery sessions work?
In order to do 1 of our 3 pottery sessions, you must purchase our AppleFest with Pottery included tickets. You will be granted access to the timeslot you purchased only and not a different session.
- Is there parking?
Yes, free parking is available on site. Auxillary aprking is available in the north-west corner of the Mt Joy GO Station.
- What other transportation options do I have to get to AppleFest?
Markham Museum is accessible by public transit, including routes on TTC, YRT, and GO. Ride sharing services are also a great option to commute to our site.
- Are dogs allowed at AppleFest?
Yes, dogs are welcome to visit us for AppleFest. They must remain on a leash at all times and are permitted only in the outdoor areas of our grounds. The only exception is when entering or exiting the event through our main Collections building.
- Can I use my Markham Museum Membership to gain entry?
Yes you can! You get free entry with your Markham Museum membership for everyone that is associated with your membership.
- Can I use Canoo to access this event?
No, this is a paid ticketed event and is not included with a Canoo Membership
- Can I use Access2 to access this event?
Yes, with proper Access2 identification.
- Can I volunteer at AppleFest?
